Collection of my peace lily

description of peace lily

near about 17/18 days ago I brought a Spathiphyllum another name for Peace Lily evergreen herbs. after 6 or 7 days some of its leaves get yellow and it looks pale. though my other lily is still strong and green-looking. they do not need much care. I did not find any reason, already I had some lilies. I tried all the things that I do my others. but nothing was working. then at first, I took it a long distance from other lilies. I started studying again about peace lily. it was a virus attack. I took them out of the pot. I removed the soil and washed it off gently, cutting off all damaged leaves. the roots looked healthy I put them in a vase of distilled water, changed the water weekly, and added fertilizer once a month. it was new thriving then I replanted this lily with new soil. every week I give a cup of water and keep it in well well-lit area during the day but I do not keep it in direct sunlight. it was all about the process or journey I had done to get rid of the virus-attacked peace lily.

Care for Peace Lily after Buying

Bringing home a vibrant Peace Lily plant from the supermarket is an exciting addition to any indoor space. However, ensuring its health and longevity requires proper care from the moment of purchase. Here are two essential ways to care for your Peace Lily plants to ensure they thrive in their new environment.

Choose a pot with drainage holes to allow excess water to escape, preventing waterlogging.
Use a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter to promote healthy root growth.
Gently remove the Peace Lily from its original container, being mindful not to damage the roots.
Place the plant in its new pot, filling in any gaps with fresh soil and gently patting it down.
Water the newly repotted Peace Lily thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain away.

Provide Optimal Lighting and Watering:

Peace Lilies thrive in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Find a location in your home with ample natural light, such as near a north or east-facing window, ensuring the plant receives indirect sunlight throughout the day.

Avoid placing the Peace Lily in direct sunlight, as this can scorch its delicate leaves.
Monitor the soil moisture regularly and water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch.
Use room temperature water to avoid shocking the plant’s roots.
Ensure proper drainage by emptying excess water from the saucer or cache pot after watering.
Conclusion: By immediately repotting your supermarket-bought Peace Lily into a suitable container and providing optimal lighting and watering conditions, you can set the stage for its continued health and vitality. With proper care, your Peace Lily will reward you with lush foliage and elegant white blooms, bringing beauty and tranquillity to your indoor space for years to come.
